Files & Data
See who uses a file
Every file carries its own reference list — which notes, todos, and inbox items use it, one tap away.
Ever opened Files, seen an image, and wondered "why did I save this?" Every file in Todrise carries the answer — a live list of everything that references it.
Where to look
- Each file shows a small badge with its reference count — "referenced by 3 notes, 1 task".
- Tap the badge to open the list — every note, to-do, and inbox item that uses the file.
- Tap an entry to jump straight to the reference, right where the file appears.
- A file with no references says so — safe to clear whenever you want.
What the list protects
- No accidental deletes — files referenced by notes, todos, or inbox items cannot be removed.
- Deleting asks first — if a file is referenced, Todrise warns you with the counts before it goes anywhere.
- Deleted anyway? It lands in the trash bin first and can be restored.
- Cleaning is confident — with zero references, there is nothing to lose.
